Please look at these two links:
1) How the government intervened into the Finnish diet to eat less fat (unfortunately conflated with more exercise, less drinking and smoking which is fair enough!). http://www.eatingwell.com/nutrition_health/nutrition_news_information/miracle_up_north
2) Finland has the highest alzheimers/dementia today whereas it was more coronary heart disease in the past. http://www.worldlifeexpectancy.com/cause-of-death/alzheimers-dementia/by-country/
I find it an interesting case as the government intervention has statistically changed the prognosis on a national level. It is not often a trend like that shows up and makes you wonder.. unless there is a genetic predispotition at play.
